So, as my sister's homework i was supposed to read her a story (Green Eggs and Ham) but, i thought that she should get some practice reading and she was so exited! I promised her i would record it so here it is! Her first real book! (it's a bit quiet and with a few mistakes, but she's only 7)

So i missed my lunch period today to do some community service by serving my teachers a teacher appreciation lunch. It wasn't so bad, i got lot's of leftover cheescake! But, i did miss my Illiad/Odyssey test... which i wouldn't have complained about except that i didn't have time to study and one of my questions was "Who was the 2nd woman Oddysseus names in Chapter 1?" .. i mean.. who cares?!?

Though my teacher made up for that by casting me as the head prosecution lawyer in our mock trial of Oddysseus on Thursday! =]

Anyway, because of computer problems at school today i spent the length of my bio class listening to Springsteen! (not a bad day eh?)

Green Eggs and Ham, baby!! Your sister is adorable. :) She's a good reader!

That is kind of a stupid test question. Like "What's the third word of the second sentence on page 43?" Lame.

Odysseus is a drifter and a deadbeat. :D

She says thank you! =]

heh she's really improving.. it's better then last week when every other word was "box" or "fox" heh

yeah, his essay question was stuiped too, but it doesn't matter, i get to argue my points back in our court trial! heh =]

That sounds like a most awesome day.

"Who was the 2nd woman Oddysseus names in Chapter 1?" .. i mean.. who cares?!?

That sounds like a terrible test. I hate those sort of nitpicky questions that doesn't have anything to do with understanding what you're reading.

Will have to listen later as I don't have my head phones with me right now. :)

yes, especially when the day before the teacher said we would need to know the plot in depth.... yeah because that question has everything to do with plot *eye roll*

But i'm thinking Springsteen makes up for it a little bit?

My mom teaches adults English with green eggs and ham! It's a staple of my childhood. And what a great reading!

she's glad that you all like it! (acctually, ecstatic is more of the word) =]

And Green Eggs and Ham was my all time favorite book when i was a kid ( with Oh the Places You'll Go being a close second) that's why i was so happy she wanted to read it!

My favorite was The Butter Battle Book, which I now realize was about the cold war, but still great (or even greater)! Suess rocks!
